“I’ve been drinking cola since my childhood and nothing has happened to me. I have absolutely no problem endorsing it as I don’t agree with the report findings. There’s a lot of discrepancy I believe,” said actor Priyanka Chopra at the launch of ‘Sexiest 2006’ a talent hunt competition launched by Red Carpet Entertainment at a glittering function in up market J W Marriot Hotel in a Mumbai suburb.

With a spate of movies starring Chopra releasing this year starting with Dharmesh Darshan’s ‘Aap Ki Khatir’ and Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don’, does she think she is going to be the No. 1 by the end of this year? “ I don’t believe in numbers. I am just doing good work,” she pouted ever-so-diplomatically. Well right, that’s why you’ve been stealing projects from under the nose of top stars like Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor.

Talking about the event then it was helmed by yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna who regaled the audience with his dialogue delivery. “My story is 43 year long…That was when I appeared in a talent contest organized by Filmfare….I got selected and never looked back,” he said amidst claps. ‘Sexiest 2006’ aims to hone talent in the field of acting and the winner will be selected from a live TV show.

The proud winner will be given a cash prize of Rs 1 crore and a pure Gold Trophy weighing 10 Kg valued at Rs 1 crore.

It seems to be a tall order and definitely a very tempting one. It goes without saying that Priyanka was the cynosure of all the flashbulbs and sound bytes. She didn’t disappoint the media either, but got really prickly at repeatedly being posed with the Cola and the pesticide Controversy.

Archana Puran Singh was the hostess for the evening. Rajesh Khanna reserved the best compliment for her when he said: “You seem to be going in the reverse gear…Looking younger with each passing year.”
